February Flying By!

It seems that every week the Wilde household has had an emergency. Between illness, jury trials, and even the bizarre case of a friend in jail... life is just flashing by!

But there have been great moments of fun and joy. Our little P has 4 teeth and she's chewing on everything for more!

Aside from the buzz of life, things are good. If I could get my sinuses permanently cleared up, I could say that life is great.

In looking ahead, we are getting our garden ready for the coming year. The goal is to plant the first round of seeds on March 4th.

I had a dream last night about my grandmother and her garden. It left me with the most wonderful feeling in the morning and a strong desire to make a large garden like she had. I miss her. And I want to honor the good she did in this world by continuing it.

Well, those are my thoughts for tonight.

Enjoy the last 10 days of February!

These Orange Rolls are the best thing I've eaten this month.

Soup Kick

We've been on a soup kick in the Wilde household for the past few weeks. Unfortunately I haven't taken pictures of any until tonight. So you'll have to take my word for it.

Here's what we've had:

  • Russ's Split Pea Soup (good. Surprisingly really good)
  • Chow's Corn Onion Chowder (not so good, but I still eat it)
  • Russ's Chicken Tortilla Soup (also, really good)
Sooo Tasty

Tonight's soup was inspired by today's doctor diagnosis: Russ has Bronchitis. So I think we will be on a soup kick for a while...

Sick in the Summer: What do you do?

I rarely get sick. No, really it is once in a blue moon that it happens. Well, okay it happens about 3 times a year. But still, I think 3 times a year is pretty rare.

A few days ago, I started feeling that old familiar feeling. A scratch in the throat. A sniffle here and there. A unexpected cough.

Last night it was a little more pronounced. The constant need to suck on a cough drop or a jolly rancher. The tissue in my hand on stand-by for a sneeze for ten minutes straight and then... ACHOO!

Today, there's no disguise. I sneeze, I cough, I get hot, I get cold. Blech!

I want to pour soup, hot chocolate, anything down my throat.

    But, it's summer. It's 84º outside.

What do I do? I've taken Emergen-C. I've taken my vitamins. But how do I ease the scratch in my throat?

    Advice, Please!

    Getting sick

I don't know if it's my time with Ike, lack of sleep, or if it's just
a bug. Whatever it was I'm not feeling well and we're out of tissue.

    le sat, la sat, LSAT

Well not much new in the Wilde life of things... at least nothing that is on the blog level.
I started LSAT classes as I think I have told anybody within ten feet of me. ever.
But it's so far interesting... some days I am improving, others digressing.

And no matter what, I go to sleep dreaming about the chimps getting tested, what order to play music in, etc. etc.

Russ has been under the weather the past few days, but he is on a speedy course of recovery! Yeah!

Hope all is well with ya'll!
