YNN Launch

Last night was the launch party changing News 8 Austin to Your News Now (YNN). It was a lot of fun, here's some highlights:

We drove up to the event with the Gomez's.
Mark is a weather reporter at Russ's station.
We've driven together to quite a few of these events.
So now when we drive together it's like reuniting with family!
They're such a lovely couple!

This is Russ's boss thanking everyone. I really love Russ's boss.
He is one of those people that are just good through ang through.

This is the band they had play, The Run Tides. The lead singer is also one of Russ's co-workers.

Eddie,  a co-worker of Russ's. The music was pretty awesome.

Because two singers are better than one.

Especially when one is from the audience.

At some point in the night I started taking these pictures.

Award Season

Russ and I L-O-V-E movie award shows. I honestly don't know why. But we make these silly ballots and compete for who can get the most predictions. It is ridiculous..ly fun.

GLEE-king out for one Post

I started watching Glee when it was very first on. I loved it because what happened in the show was sung about right after it happened. The drama set you up for the song and the song made you think that the drama was...well not bad.

But this season the drama and the songs are two separate entities in the same show. Or the songs are some unknown- and unknown because they're really lame songs.
I mean sometimes the drama and music go along together. But every now and again the music is so off-subject I think to myself, "Huh? How does this fit in?" or "What is this song?"

Examples:

-"Don't Cry for me Argentina?" Supposedly Rachel want this sung at her funeral. WHAT THE HECK!?

-"Dog Days are Over" What is this song? You sing this at sections. LAME

-"Valerie" Same criticism. What is this song? It's not even kind of good!

-"Marry Me" Same thing. What is this crappy song?


And in this blogger's opinion, it makes the drama seem bad.

Night Court

When I was a kid I used to stay up late and watch Night Court. The
other night I was watching 30 Rock, the one with the cast of Night
Court and I wondered how the show stood up after all these years. I
tivo'd a couple episodes. Hmmm. I actually remembered the episodes
right down to the one liners. I'm lame.

They're back...

The Office is back. I'm excited to see how things play out. I sort of
miss the good ole KCSG office nights. There's something about Tilt and
The Office.
