Food of a Law Student.

I like to eat healthy. If I could choose my diet everyday there would be a lot veggie, fruits, and fish in it. Unfortunately this is what I eat in law school:

Yes. This is a grilled cheese sandwich with a small sample of soup.
This was a good day.

Yes, this is a piece of cold pizza on a coffee filter.
Both found in the student lounge at the law school.
This is a typical day.

If you're not in law school, please, eat a veggie for me. I miss them.

Soup Kick

We've been on a soup kick in the Wilde household for the past few weeks. Unfortunately I haven't taken pictures of any until tonight. So you'll have to take my word for it.

Here's what we've had:

  • Russ's Split Pea Soup (good. Surprisingly really good)
  • Chow's Corn Onion Chowder (not so good, but I still eat it)
  • Russ's Chicken Tortilla Soup (also, really good)
Sooo Tasty

Tonight's soup was inspired by today's doctor diagnosis: Russ has Bronchitis. So I think we will be on a soup kick for a while...

Sick in the Summer: What do you do?

I rarely get sick. No, really it is once in a blue moon that it happens. Well, okay it happens about 3 times a year. But still, I think 3 times a year is pretty rare.

A few days ago, I started feeling that old familiar feeling. A scratch in the throat. A sniffle here and there. A unexpected cough.

Last night it was a little more pronounced. The constant need to suck on a cough drop or a jolly rancher. The tissue in my hand on stand-by for a sneeze for ten minutes straight and then... ACHOO!

Today, there's no disguise. I sneeze, I cough, I get hot, I get cold. Blech!

I want to pour soup, hot chocolate, anything down my throat.

    But, it's summer. It's 84º outside.

What do I do? I've taken Emergen-C. I've taken my vitamins. But how do I ease the scratch in my throat?

    Advice, Please!
